Banks don't match BSBs and Account Numbers to Account Names when making payments.
As a result, it is possible for hackers, fraudsters or malicious insiders to change the bank details we have on file for you to their own, and route payments intended for you to themselves.
In order to protect both us and you from this happening, we are using eftsure software to validate all of our suppliers bank account details to ensure the details we have on file for you are correct.
When you click the 'Start Verification Process' button above, you'll be asked to validate the bank details we have on file for you (and update them if there is an issue).
The software we are using for this, eftsure, maintains Australia's largest most up-to-date database of account details and will run some checks on the information you entered to ensure it's all correct and secure.
Then, whenever we are about to pay you, we'll see a green thumbs-up icon next to your account details in our bank payment screen, and we'll know that the money we're paying you will arrive securely.
This is purely a preventative measure to stop fraudsters impacting our business or yours and is not the result of a security breach or any other issue.
